Naomi is 33 years old, and married with mother of 3. She has worked in casinos as a Front Desk Agent for 13 years. She graduated from the College of Southern Nevada in May 08 (a week before her daughter was born!) with an Associate of Arts in Liberal Art, with emphasis in the study of Cultural Anthropology.
Since Naomi was a young girl, she was always drawn to the mystical. It was a natural progression for her to do the work of Birthing From Within®. She was introduced to it during her last pregnancy and it changed her life. The Birthing From Within® model views pregnancy and birth as a Rite of Passage, something that modern birth culture does not acknowledge or embrace. In Birthing from Within® classes, we do not focus on the outcome of any situation, but rather we focus on the process that encourages parents to be fully present from moment to moment. The processes go so much deeper than visualization and breathing techniques; it challenges parents to go deep within to discover their own coping resources and then builds upon that. It validates and motivates parents to educate themselves, to celebrate their successes and initiate them into the mystical journey that is labor and birth and on a broader sense, life itself.
