April has been offering mommy and baby care for over a decade here in Southern Nevada. She first practiced as a labor and delivery nurse and then as a certified nurse midwife and has attended over 1,000 births. She has recently opened a home birth practice and is excited to bring her skills, knowledge, and passion to home birthing families. April’s experience in the hospital has left her with a strong belief that the vast majority of women need little or no medical intervention during pregnancy and birth. Very often medical interventions cause more problems than they prevent. Pregnancy and birth are normal, healthy events for most women.
